Here is what I think will be the first of many posts as our family is preparing to head to the mission field in Tanzania. It has been a whirlwind of activity since February 2015 when we found ourselves faced with an opportunity: stay where we were or go where we have been called. I believe we are on the road less traveled, but the view has been pretty sweet so far.
I look forward to piecing together this journey as our family steps into what we believe God has been preparing for us to do all along. We invite you to read along and join us. But, I want to make sure that you know up front, I am a pretty ordinary person, I just happen to serve an extraordinary God. So I imagine that the stories that are shared here might just knock some socks off, because, honestly, my Jesus does that to people.
I look at where we have been, where we are, and can only use my imagination when I think about where we are heading. It is very clear that this would not be possible apart from God. He is the source of my contentment, he is the master of my day, he is spirit in me, and I am the receiver of His superpower to love others like He has loved me.
We’ll leave it at that…short and sweet to start with.
